The description says it will work for any size laptop....I have a 17" and if you have the fan in the position pictured and have the laptop open, it is unstable and falls backward.

I have a 17" laptop. My laptop edges are going outside of this stand. Still it's okay. In fact its good in a way, it does not interfere with the built in laptop fan. Airflow is right at the center where it's needed the most. Laptop temperature is not going up now. I can comfortably keep the laptop on my lap. Price little high for 26$ including shipping. Highly recommend to anyone. If you put the fan in last slot it gives more balance.

The fan is quiet, and the stand is nice and my laptop feels secure on it. The only bad point is the little tabs in the front of the stand that prevent it from sliding down, the right one covers my DVD drive. I rarely use the drive, and when I do I can just lift the Mac Book Pro up and access it, but it is a little annoying. So take note of the location of any front peripherals.

"The truth"
Overall it is a good product, it holds my 15 inch Toshiba well and keeps it from sliding off. My fan in my laptop is broke but the only fan in this product seems to keep my laptop from overheating. Only minus is that, this stand is not very comfortable on a lap which is not a huge deal but it is still very important. I think for the price, you can't go wrong.

I have been using this stand for a few days now and I absolutely love it. First of all, it's a stand and cooling pad in one so no need for 2 separate products. I have a 15" compaq laptop and the latches that keeps my laptop steady on the stand do an excellent job of keeping it from sliding around,too. The fan is unnoticeable while it's on so no complaint from me with loudness. I also love that the stand swivels so it's easy for others to be able to see what's going on from the other side of the table. A friend of mine has this stand and has had it for a few months now and he still has no complaints which is one of the main reasons why I purchased one for myself.
