Panaflows are known for thier longevity and quiet operation. I was shocked at how quiet the fan is and how much air it moves! There aren't many fans on the market that are quiet, well priced, live long, and move high CFM. I've read reviews of the Panaflow brand and have heard stories of them last 7 - 10 years without getting louder or failing. Remember these have been available for a very long time, used mainly for industrial use.
