Description:

Noctua NH-D14 Heatpipe CPU Cooler

Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 fan setup

The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua's award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve a perfect balance of performance and quietness. Asymmetrical design for high compatibility
An asymmetrical design that gives more clearance towards the RAM slots ensures good compatibility despite of the cooler's size. The NF-P12 fan can be moved upwards or left off in order to further improve compatibility.
Excellent component cooling

Hanging out at the bottom of the fin-stacks, the NF-P14 fan doesn't only contribute to the NH-D14's superb CPU cooling capabilities but also provides massive airflow over surrounding motherboard components and heatsinks, thus ensuring excellent component cooling performance.
SecuFirm2TM multi-socket mounting system

Noctua's enthusiast grade SecuFirm2TM multi-socket mounting provides broad socket compatibility (LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA775, AM2, AM2+ and AM3) and meets the highest demands in safety, contact pressure and ease-of-use.
NT-H1 thermal compound

Noctua's much-acclaimed NT-H1 is a well proven pro-grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease-of-use and outstanding reliability.

5Masterful CoolingJul 17, 2010
This is quite easily the best aftermarket CPU cooler I have ever purchased! If you are planning to overclock any of the newer CPU chips (i5/i7... Phenom II), this cooler will keep your chipsets at very acceptable temps, while maintaining extremely low noise output. The only fan I can hear in my system right now is the exhaust fan!

Two gripes:
1) It is massive. Make sure you check the motherboard compatibility charts on the Noctua website before purchasing.
2) Price. But as I previously mentioned, it is worth every penny.

The NH-D14 performs on par with my Corsair H50, but is much quieter. After overclocking my 1055t to just over the 4ghz barrier, my temps remained quite cool (27c idle, 48c load... ambient 24c).

5-star rating, highly recommended!

5ExcellentJul 06, 2010
This cooler works fine, keeps my Phenom II 955 x4 @ 3.9 Ghz at 49 degrees celsius with Prime95 stress test, with my previous CPU cooler (a cheap one 30 - 35$), my phenom was at 3.8 Ghz with a temp of 55 degrees celsius. Now it's faster and cooler. Excellent product.

5Best Air Cooler Hands Down!May 19, 2010
I purchased this unit to replace an Artic Cooling Freezer Pro and the difference this unit made was absolutely staggering! This unit is extremely well made, very silent and is by far the best performing air cooler on the market. High Quality is what you get when you purchase this unit, the packaging and supplied items reflects the pride taken in the production of this item. You truly feel as though you have gotten your moneys worth as soon as you open the box. My temp drop from the artic cooling unit was close to 20c!!! I am now idling at ambient temp, and with a fairly extreme overclock running prime95 on a 4 core system 49c is my load temp! This is a very quiet unit, my velociraptors make more noise then this cooler does.
I have gone through many coolers and have to give this one a must buy if your going with the air cooling route, this thing even beats several single radiator water cooling setups and blows the corsair h50 away as well. You truly get what you pay for with this piece. Amazon was very fast with the shipping and this is one purchase you will be pleased that you have made, as I know I am!

5NH-D14 CPU Fan Worth Every CentApr 14, 2010
Like other Noctua products worth every cent. System applied to: Antec P193 Case, Q6600 2.4, 4g RAM 800mhz, Nivida Alpha Dog Video, ASUS MAX Formula, stock Intel CPU Fan: Idle stock configuration 31C with Noctua 20C with CPU overclocked to 3.3g & RAM 833mhz "significant improvement". Note had to remove 200mm side case fan to accomodate cooler "BIG Cooler", did not have it running anyway as it appeared to not help previously. The 200mm side fan is advertised to assist in cooling video card(s); jury out on that..

5Gets the job doneMar 30, 2010
I got this to cool my 32nm i5 and allow 4.6 GHZ , it handled this without issue .

It is huge so unless you have a decent sized case and MOBO that puts the CPU a decent distance from your ram you will run out of space .

I would recommend this to anyone that wants to push OCing an "i" series CPU , has a huge case and wants to avoid liquid cooling .

If you don't plan to push OCing this is a pointless purchase as the CPUs this is designed for already OC quite well on stock cooling .
