Not a 200mm fan, even though it's advertised as one!May 07, 2011
By Pidgeo5 Really unhappy with this fan. I ordered it for my new Coolmaster 912 HAF case because the case supported 200mm fans. Well, when I got this fan made by NZXT, it didn't fit! Come to find out, the fan is actually 190mm and is specially created for their own line of cases. This isn't Amazon's fault, but the manufacturer. Of course I could have tried other methods to install (like use twisty ties), but I'm not comfortable with that. I'm going to send it back. Just keep this in mind when purchasing this fan!

Great air movement; annoying noiseDec 15, 2010
By D. Collins Bought NZXT Phantom case (black) and wanted to max out fan slots so bought all the extra fans it would hold. Love the case and the fans that came with it were great as well. When I got the two extra 200mms I installed them right away. Loved it. Roomy case, cool case, not too loud. Later that 1st night, I heard a faint clicking noise from my bedroom (some 30ft away, mind you.) As I have my case on the floor, I figured I had sucked up a dust bunny or something and cleaned up the next morning. Alas, the sound remained. Listening to the case, the sound was coming from my roof 200mm fan (it disappeared when the blades were stopped, sped up with the fan control, etc). I tried tightening the screws, but all that did was break one of the mounting tabs on the fan! Needless to say, that fan was removed.
Later, the sound returned. Alas, the new 200mm in the side panel was now clicking as well (the rest of the symptoms were the same as well!) Both fans were RMAd and new ones arrived.
Unfortunately, these 2 both emit the same annoying clicking sound so I will be looking elsewhere for new fans. It's a shame too - at full speed, they move quite a bit of air. Also, the 200mm that comes with the case is whisper quiet. It also has blue LEDs, but that is another story. The other 140mm I bought at the same time works great as well and none of the other fans click either. 4 fans - 4 clickers. Will try something else for my 200mm needs for sure.

A Fan of this Fan!Jun 30, 2011

These fans are used on the bottom of my passive attic vents as exhaust fans and are also on top of my audio receiver, again as an exhaust fan. They are not at all loud and move a good amount of air. I have purchased eight of them and would (probably will) buy others if/when needed. Great product.

So far so goodJan 18, 2011
By K.T. I have had the fan running on my nzxt phantom case for about two months now, and it's still quiet. Great fan so far.

Does NOT fit HAF 912Apr 02, 2011
By Tracy H. Bolte The fan is fairly loud, but I think some of the noise in my case is chalked up to the inlet of the HAF 912. Also, this fan does not have the proper screw pattern for the HAF 912 and I had to tie wrap it in. Works great though. The fan does move a ton of air.
