Solid productSep 08, 2010
By William E. Ferreira Works fine, only the magnetic bearing fans are better. However magnetic bearing fans are hard to find, expensive and not available in very many sizes.
Just what I was looking for...Apr 05, 2012
By Lunch Lady Love this "slim" fan! Short, quiet (when properly mounted) and moves a lot of air...
I used it for extra cooling on a Cooler Master CoolViva-Z1 "fanless" VGA heatsink. Overkill, I know, but I live in sizzling-hot Arizona.
(I'll add a pic, above. Vendor image makes it look frail and wimpy)
Arrived in just one day, even though I selected "2-day shipping". Sweet!
I was pleasantly surprised to find 4 fan screws included in the package. These are specially sized, oddball screws, and I was worried that I would have to order some before completing the project.
5 stars, and two thumbs up! :)
Great Little fanFeb 29, 2012
By Chris Stolz Ive had it installed for a few months and it works great. I used it in a htpc that had 40 mm fan on the heat sink. I removed that fan and screwed this one to the case instead. Works great
Used two of these to assist with venting hot video card air out of case. Caution: LOUD FANSSep 24, 2011
By Erebus I purchased two of these and secured them to the inside of my computer chassis with zip-ties. They are attached to a vertical, grated vent on my computer case that is not meant to hold fans. However, these fans exhaust hot air produced by my GTX 480 video card out of my case incredibly well. NOTE: They are absolutely obnoxiously LOUD if you don't have a fan controller to reduce the speed. I do, however, have them plugged into a fan controller and the fans run much quieter at 70%-80% of max speed.
Decent fanSep 04, 2011
By Anson Miller Decent fan for the price. not too big of a selection to choose from when you're looking for a 15MM (thick) fan. Bought a Silenz fan last time and it only lasted 6 months. Noise dB is comparable to the Silenz even though the Silenz is supposed to be the quietest. The jury is still out on the longevity of this fan, since it was installed about a month ago.
