3good fan and quiet but ......Apr 30, 2009
By G. Dawes "Aimless Wanderer"
I was looking to 'soften' the sound from my computer case, so I went shopping knowing I had to balance between sound and cooling. Mostly the quieter the fan the less cooling it does by moving less air. These fans are a godsend for sound, I have better CF or air movement than my older fans, and much less noise also. So in the respect I think I made out.

However, a selling point to these fans is the ability to remove the blades for easy cleaning, no where does it say just how to do this. So I took the part in hand and just gave it a lil tug, nothing. Thinking maybe a tab or tabs were holding it in place, still I found nothing. The picture just shows it coming off.So I pulled again and with much more determination, still nothing. It felt as thought the fan would break before it released the blades from the housing.

SO for those of you who are looking at these for easy cleaning because the fan blades come off, well I hope figure it out and post it here, but don't let that be the reason you buy these, easy off they are not.

All in all a good fan with low noise and good airflow. I would buy them again and I will continue to search for the way to remove the blades from the housing.

4 stars for a good fan, minus 1 star for no documentation and what appears to be misleading information.

not a lot to review. the fan is very quiet, as advertised. it's nice that the blade assembly is removable for cleaning. the fan came with a variety of cables for many different situations. i'm pleased with this purchase.

5Best 80mm Out There. Used To Be Cheaper.Jan 13, 2012
By N. Kline
A few years ago these little wonders could be had for $5 shipped. I guess no longer.

However, the air flow vs noise ratio cannot be beat. They push a decent amount of air (nothing great, but never any problems) and are nearly silent. The only thing you hear, even with your ear right next to it, is simply the air going over the blades. There is no motor or bearing noise whatsoever.

I have put these on CPU's, GPU's and PSU's and have never, ever had a single problem. Even with a graphics-intensive game, these keep your chips cool.

If you need a quiet, nay silent, machine, these are the ONLY fans to get.

5Shhh!!! Is the fan even running??? ... Sooo quietNov 10, 2011

I am running two of these fans and I have to stop everything I am doing so I can even attempt to hear them. They seem to move a respectable amount of air and the sound truly is a minimum. I am completely satisfied with the quality and quietness of these fans.

5Excellent fans, quiet and move quite a bit of air!Oct 30, 2011
By Wanderer
I was at a local brick and mortar, hunting for replacement fans. My tower has over a half dozen fans (HD fans, intake fans, window fan, exhaust fans, etc.) and my two rear exhaust fans were among the oldest. As they began whining, I knew that replacement was due, but wanted to get something better than what I had before.

Airflow was one thing, but noise reduction was another. As you can imagine, this many fans makes for a somewhat noisy case, even when they are semi-quiet 80mm case fans for the most part. After giving up trying to find quality dual ball bearing fans, I stumbled on these units. I had never used a mag-lev style bearing fan before, but they seemed well made and were decently priced. After I looked closer, it turned out they were pretty quiet but still moved a lot more air than other 'silent' fans I had seen with higher db ratings. I decided to buy a pair and give them a try.

Surprisingly these fans not only moved significantly more air than my old ones (dropped my temp a couple degrees), but they were much, much quieter. I've been using them for probably six months now and no signs of any problems. The wiring harness came with enough length and the 4-pin adapters so that they should work in almost anyone's rig without much issue.

So far I am really liking these fans. No frills, no silly lights or freakish colors, just quietly moving a good amount of air. What more can you ask? I would definitely pick these up again and probably will if any of my other fans give up the ghost.
