OK Cabinet FanApr 12, 2012
By JP The fan is installed in a new home theater cabinet, which IF you are comfortable with cutting a hole in your enclosure is reasonably easy to do. I close the USB option to power the fan and was disappointed that the blue ray player did not switch the USB power off and on with the unit. I ended up using a powered USB hub to run the fan. It's likely that you will need to find a solution that allows you to switch the unit. I have used a wall switch to turn off and on my entire home theater system including the fan to save on electricity costs.
I gave the unit a four star rating because it is not as silent as advertised. The noise is not an issue for me when watching Netflx, etc.
