Easy to use-Looks goodJan 19, 2012

This fan controller works xactly as described and looks good too. It is easily reset for on / off temps for the fans and comes with plenty of cable length. I would be nit picking if I said it would be nice to have a slightly smaller case. Thanks Coolerguys....

If you are serious about your audio visual equipment you are probably like me and searched high and low to find very very few choices for cooling your equipment. This little baby is sleek, smart, and versatile. With that said there are creative alternatives that are not marketed for audio/visual equipment such as attic fan vent switches which can be found as bi-metal 85 degree small non adjustable switch with 2 wires and switch about size of a quarter - it can be used typically with any wattage or voltage up to 240volt. Also there are the slightly more expensive but still half the price of this unit - the adjustable attic fan vent switches usually found at hardware stores and about the size of a electrical outlet box. They run on 120 to 240 VAC and can be set usually from 60 to 120 degrees. Certainly if you want something that looks cool then this is it and the company does make other components such as fans or even the combo fan/control switch in various combinations of adjustable/nonadjustable/single fan/dual fan, but there are other options you just have to think outside the stereo cabinet - haha. Keep in mind this product does use trickle power even when off, whereas the other attic fan switches mentioned will not. The nice thing about the simple, small, and cheap bi-metal switches is they can be used with 12v 24v or 120v, but the bad is they are never adjustable and not easy to find.
