Cabcool 802 Lite 5v Dual 80mm Fan Cooling Kit for Cabinet & Home Theaters
This "Lite" version of our Cabcool cooling kits is a great selection if you just want a no nonsense easy to install kit to keep your stuff cool.
We paired our silent 5 volt fans with a wall wart style 2 prong ac adapter so you can power it from a standard wall socket or any entertainment device that has an outlet.
Also available in a single 120mm and single 80mm versions
A very quiet 5 volt stand alone system, perfect to go on when your AV amplifier goes on, or just run all the time.
This is a complete kit for a dual fan unit (8.25" x 4.25" x 1.25") that will quietly cool your cabinet or multimedia center.
Can be mounted on any side of a cabinet, where room permits, by cutting a hole approximately 3/4" smaller on all sides of the outside bracket.
Insert completed cooler assembly in hole and attach to cabinet with appropriate screws.
Fan(s) can be set to blow into or out of the cabinet depending on your needs.

 Great cooling fan kit!Mar 04, 2010
I bought this fan kit to keep the cabinet housing my home theater equipment from getting too hot. Upon opening the package and inspecting the components, I called CoolGuys because I thought I was missing a connector - my bad for not reading the instructions beforehand. They answered the call quickly and explained how the unit needed to be connected - so, no missing part. I assembled the kit in about 5 mins. All the materials seem to be sturdy and of good quality. Some posters here have complained about mounting holes not be properly aligned. I did not experience this at all. I installed it in my cabinet in another 5 mins. The fans are absolutely quiet - you can't even hear them at arm's length. Great product and excellent customer service. I definitely recommend this kit.

I have a toddler in the house and anyone who has had kids will know that they love to touch things and push buttons. This becomes an issue when you want to watch movies or play video games and you have to keep your door to your entertainment center open to allow cooling of all the electronic equipment. I purchased the CabCool 802 fans and with some minor work I was able to install it on my entertainment center within 20 minutes. Now I can run my reciever, PS3, and DVD changer all at once and the temperature stays the same inside the entertainment center as it is in the living room. I was blown away as to how quiet the fans are. The only way I can hear them is if I turn off the TV and the AC in the house stops, then you can barely hear them. So I guess I'm good to go until my little girl figures out how to open the door.
Pros: Works perfect, virtualy silent, easy to install, and very affordable.
Cons: Won't deliver to Guam, had to modify the plastic mounting bracket to fit the fan cages (included).

The holes in the plastic mounting panel don't line up with the holes in the fan gaurds(Grilles). Even after reaming things out to make them fit better, some of the holes in the plastic panel cracked out when installing the screws. I had to super glue several corners. I have the fan installed and it does run quietly and works fine, however was not fun to put together.

quick and easy to install. my home server internal temperture warning would come on unless I left my cabinet doors open. Now I don't have to worry about that. I bought 2. I did alot of research and this was for sure the best value.

Assembled the fan components last night, and I immediately ran into the same issues that a previous reviewer mentions. Mounting alignments are not correct. It is possible to force the screws through the mounting holes, but it makes an otherwise easy assembly difficult. The most disappointing aspect of this was that the screws are slightly oversized for the fan housing. Tightening them causes the fan casing to crack and break. In my case, enough remained to keep the assembly together, but it is not the best situation. With careful handling it should stay together long enough to install it. At this point I don't know if it can deliver enough air flow.
