5Great Product!!Mar 06, 2011
By nwautotransporter
I looked at several different fan controllers, and most of them were of the touch screen variety and inherently over-complex. Judging by the reviews they had a high rate of failure. I wanted one that was simple, reliable, and effective. I'm an old-school kinda guy and rheostats work just fine for me. This controller was exactly what i was looking for. It does exactly what I need and looks good doing it. It looks great installed in my Cooler Master Haf X case, like it belongs there.

It can control up to 6 fans independently, and has individual temperature sensors for each channel. The display shows the temp and fan rpm for each channel, although it can only show 2 at a time. There is an audible alarm if one of the sensors detects an overheating condition or if it detects loss of rpm in one of the fans. There are jumpers on the back of the unit for turning off the alarm and switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit units.

The sensor probes are a little on the fragile side so be careful, but they come protected in a sleeve until they are ready to be installed. The controller was shipped with two extra sensors just in case I broke one, which was nice to see. I compared the temperatures with my infrared gun and found all the sensors to be very accurate, within a degree.

Overall I'm very happy with it. It's reasonably priced, does the job, and looks good. It also has the ability to control more fans than most units. The display is simple to read, and can be viewed even at an extreme angle. The rheostat knobs feel solid, its a quality product. I would highly recommend it.

5Robust Fan Controller/Temp Monitor.Jan 18, 2011
By CorpsePenis
I purchased this controller/temp monitor as I had purchased a Sunbeam that had terrible build quality, so bad in fact that I would not even put it in my computer. This on the other hand is absolutely beautiful. Very easy to read vacuum fluorescent display; its very clear and easy on the eyes... Also, easily readable from any angle (unlike some that use a LCD screen). 6 Fan controllers which work excellent, nice machined aluminum knobs. 2 selectors to change between fans have a very definitive click between each. Comes with plenty of temp probes in case you screw something up. Build quality is excellent as well. Very shiny face but seems durable. Solid construction throughout. Had no problems controlling of the fans I have hooked up to it and does everything I wanted it to do and more. I just couldn't figure out everywhere I wanted a temp probe to go! I really cannot say anything negative about it... It works good, looks good, packaged good, build good, etc... Maybe in future versions have different display color? (Hoping for red!)

5Fantastic Fan ControllerMay 06, 2011
By MilesS
I bought this along with my new PC build. It works extremely well, has solid well made components and cables that are all detachable. You have to switch between the temp sensors and fans to see the different ones since it can only display 2 at once, but I only really monitor 2 temps in my case (just for a general exhaust or intake temp and the temp around my CPU Cooler intake). I use all Noctua fans so I really don't turn them down much, but I got this just mainly so I could hide the cables better and not have to plug them all into my MOBO...

And let's face it, it looks pretty cool on the front of a case. I didn't get a touch screen one because I have read some bad reviews about them, and I'm very happy I bought this item.

5Excellent fan controller+temp monitor and I'm loving the look.Jun 02, 2011
By Venom
Pros:
-Comes with 6 Temperature Sensor
-Can control up to 6 fans
-Beeps warns you when a fan has low voltage or is off [it's not annoying]
-The color "black" is great for PC enthusiast who want a nice looking case+ fan controller/temp monitor
-Plenty of Long wires
-Wires are labeled so you'll know when fan is connected to the corresponding on the display [fans and temp wires are label]
-options for celsius or fahrenheit
Option to enable or disable the alarm beeps

-Cons
-Only allows 3 or 4 pin connects [doesn't allow fan molex connections]
-Long wires! The wires are very long. While this is a good thing, this can also be a bad thing. So prepare to tie up a lot of wires.

This fan is a overclockers dream toy. It allows you to control up to 6 fans individually. It also comes with a temperature monitor that allows you to place 6 temperture senors on specific components. Components suck as RAM, Northbridge, Southbridge etc. That fan give you full control and reads the fans speeds pretty good. It updates about everything 2 seconds or so. It also beeps alerts when a fan isn't running. This is a good thing since it lets you know that a fan may be defective and no longer working. Another good thing about this product is that you have the option to select celcius OR farenheit. Ther are also options that allow you to turn the beep alerts for quiet environments. The layout and LCD display is very nice. Also the black casing is nice as well. matches my case for sure. The product is lightweight, but doesn't feel "cheap" at all. All of the knobs feel sturdy and long lasting. Great for future references and I know I will use this again when I build another PC.

The only negative I can think about this product is that the temperature sensors comes with "sticky" like tape to keep them stuck to a specific component...unfornately the stick pads are worthless and doesn't adhere to the components very well if at all. Also when the case heats up the sticky pads looses all grip. You can always buy your own sticky like tape for the sensors I suppose. I simply won't use them. Another thing that might concern you if you are a "neat freak" are the wires. The wires aren't sheilded so they are all the basic ugly colors...yellow, black etc. The wires are LONG so you will have to keep the wires neat otherwise your case will look like hot mess. Other than those 2 minor problems I have no problems. I simply wanted a fan controller. The temperture sensor is simply optional and a plus for buyers. I might use the temp sensors one day.

1Poor quality.Jul 01, 2011
By D. Williams "D"
I'll keep this short. The front knobs are inconsistent and doesn't seem to handle bigger fans. After 4 hours of use 2 channels completely stopped working. Returned it and moved on to a Lamptron.
