Decent product, but BEWARE lack of customer serviceMay 22, 2010

This product is for people who are very comfortable installing third-party hardware in their computer. While it's not overly difficult, it takes time and care. The cooler dropped my video card temps by about 4-5 degrees C during idle, and by about 10 degrees C under load, which is okay but pretty underwhelming when you consider how much this product costs. It was still worth it for me, but your situation might differ.
However, one of the fans that ships with this product was defective. That leads me to my next point: my main concern with this product is the utter lack of customer service. If you ever have a problem with this cooler, please don't think that you can contact the manufacturer. They have an e-mail address, but haven't answered repeated inquiries. From what I can tell, this is not at all unusual for them. They either ignore you or (from what I read on a forum) insult you. Unacceptable. I'll never buy another Thermalright product for this reason alone. I had to go out and buy another fan because I gave up trying to get the defective one repaired or replaced. You'd think that a niche company would try extra hard to please its customers, but it's not so in this case.
So, decent product if it works, but buyer beware in terms of service and support.
