5Excellent SFF caseSep 09, 2010
By Dougie Fresh
This is a nicely built and stylish little PC case that lets you use "normal" sized parts for the build. The motherboard is installed outside the case making it easy to work with. Everything is clearly labelled for easy hookup. There are no sharp edges and fit and finish is nearly perfect. There is actually room inside to manage cables on non-modular PSUs. The power and HDD leds built into the power and reset buttons look very cool. This makes for a nice SFF/mini-tower system. When the final build was delivered, the system got serious oohs and aahs.

There are 12 (2 x 6) tiny black screws that need to be removed to take off the side panels. These are very easily damaged without the right size screw driver. And, for some reason, every screw provided is black, even the thumbscrews except for the screws that hold the PSU -- those are chrome. Sure, it's the back but why not make them all black since everything else is? The case shows fingerprints easily. Once the ODD is installed, it kind of ruins the look and there's a bit of a gap around the face of the ODD.

Overall, this was my first mini-ITX build and I feel that I chose the right case even if it was difficult at first to get the panels off. Everything fit perfect, temps are low and it looks great.

Here's how I put the system together:
1) Remove the mobo side panel. Install the mobo on standoffs. Install cpu, ram, etc. on mobo. Install HDD and ODD in case. Reattach mobo side panel.
2) Remove opposite panel and wire mobo (LEDs, USB, SATA, etc.).
3) Remove PSU plate and attach to PSU one turn loose. Thread PSU cables through PSU opening and attach to mobo and drives. Install PSU into case, thumbscrews one turn loose. Shift PSU/plate around until it fits and then finish tightening (this takes a little finagling).
4) Manage cables inside if needed (a modular PSU would be better but a small PSU works fine).
5) Reattach the side panel and be sure the counter-sunk holes are facing outwards and the vent are on the bottom. That's it.

My build:
Intel e3300/DG41MJ, A-DATA 4GB RAM, Seasonic 350W PSU, LiteOn DVD, WD 500GB, PCI wireless N, Windows 7 Home Premium.

This was for my father-in-law who wanted a small, low-cost PC for surfing the web, productivity and maybe some light video/photo editing later.

5Small HTPCJul 11, 2011
By Scott Sutton
I was shocked! The case was not due in until the 29th of the month and it arrived on the 11th. The speed at which the case arrived is amazing! The case is going to be used as a small HTPC. I have an ITX MB with an AMD Dual Core CPU and an HDMI video output. The case is perfect for this use. The case holds one 2.5" drive, One 3.5" drive and a CD/DVD. A standard power supply can be used for this case so no problems there. Just what I wanted.

2Poor DesignDec 21, 2010
By S. E. Groves
Very well Manufactured, but VERY poor design. There is no internal fan included, and no power supply. The mounting bezel for the PS is sturdy, but only the standard, LARGE PS will fit. I expected to use a small, compact PS, but had on hand a 350W PS from an older PS, with an Intel DH57JG mini-ATX. One 3.5in. HDD and one 2.5in. SSD may be installed, at the bottom. THe Optical DD goes at the top. Unless your PS has TWO separate SATA power connections, extensions must be added, and the PS is a large mountain in the center of the cavity.

The front-panel USB cable lacked about 2 in. reaching the motherbd connector, and the power/reset/lite cables barely reached, rubbing agains the edge of the PS.

Tried without adding a fan--NG, of course; no mounting arrangements exist for adding a fan. I used two holes in the side ventilation, enlarging them to take the screws needed by the plastic fan shell.

The last straw was that the SATA connector on the rear of the ODD ground into the rear of the cabinet, requiring the ODD to protrude 1/4 inch to the front, preventing any proper mounting.

BAD DEAL! DO NOT BUY!
