this clip set allows you to attach any VTMS Scythe cooler to any Intel push pin style CPU... the description is not complete..
you use this to take an older Scythe cooler that came with VTMS clips for 775 only to adapt it for use with any 1366, 1155, 1156, or 775 CPU. It will also probably work with the upcoming LGA 2011 socket coming out with the 4 and 8 core Sandy Bridges later this year.
It's very handy to take an old Scythe cooler from a 775 machine or old stock off the shelf or ebay and use on a new 1366 / 1156 / 1155 machine... those older coolers are still top 5% type performers... why waste em?
Coolers: any VTMS Scythe cooler including discontinued models, as of this writing, the ones that came with 775 only that you can adapt are:
