big efficient and clumsyNov 10, 2008
By Cornelis Van Es This thing is huge!!I have a full towercase and a asus p5 motherboard and the thing fits with nothing to spare, also it is a really hard to install , it took me like 10 tries , 2 hours and a lot of cussin, This said it keeps my cpu cool (e6850) no mather what I throw at it, overclocked to 3.0 ghz and it ran at 71 celsius stable
so apart from the instalation challenge , this is my cpu cooler

A great heatsink for passive cooling setup.Aug 10, 2008
By M. Wang I wanted a large, efficient heatsink to cool Intel Q9450 passively. This was my choice and I am happy with it.
It turns out that Q9450 generates less heat than I expected and a heatsink of this size is a bit of an overkill. Nonetheless, it is nice to know the cooling power is there when the quad-core CPU needs it. The bundled fan has a low-noise design. I used it to replace the stock fan that came with the case. The difference is noticeable.
The major downside with the Ninja is the installation. It is big and sharp on the edge. The plastic clips are hard to reach and not built in the best quality. One must be careful that the unit is fastened to the motherboard securely, and it is not an easy job.

Great CoolerSep 28, 2009
By Zone Five Big, make sure it fits your case. I'm using it without a fan and it keeps the CPU plenty cool -- Quad core Q9550
