I bought this item to replace the stock cooler on an AMD Phenom II CPU as the stock cooler is very loud. The stock cooler kept the CPU between 41 and 46 degrees C. After placing this cooler the CPU temperature was at 56 degrees C. It was quiet but the CPU temp alarm kept going off. I tried using better thermal compound than what shipped with the cooler but that did not help at all. Avoid this product at all costs as the restocking fee makes it worthless to ship back to the seller when you also factor in the shipping costs.
