The pictures of this item are very confusing so I was very please that I received exactly what was hoping for which is
picture number 3.
You basically clip this on to the ram sockets and it blows air directly down on to the RAM.
I'm using it with two sticks of Ram but it's wide enough for 4.
It's very simple to install..

This fan cooller works great. It is easy to install. Make sure you look at the demensions before buying was a little snug on the side due to transistor. Product is flexable though.
