5Arctic Cooling F9 Pro TC 92mm Variable Speed FanMar 01, 2012
By Jim H.
If it were possible to rate this fan at more than five stars I would do so. My new desktop computer was equipped with only a power supply cooling fan. After installing an internal thermometor I found that with processor-intensive applications and with the ambient room temperature at 70F degrees the computer internal temp. rose to 90F+. Installed the cooling fan from my expired machine and it kept the internal temp. rise to about 10F, but it was relatively noisy while the new OEM computer had been very quiet.

Ordered the Arctic F9 Pro TC fan reviewed here, installed it, and checked the temp. rise. With the ambient room temp. at 70.7F and using a computer processor-intensive application for 45 minutes the computer internal temp. never exceeded 76.3F. And the Arctic fan is unbelievably quiet, essentially inaudible even when doing heavy-duty cooling. The fan bearing is fluid dynamic. The amount of air moved through the computer case varies considerably, depending upon the need and the fan thermostat is quickly responsive to changes in temperature. As I am writing this the ambient temperature is 68.4F and the computer internal temp. is holding steady at 76.7F.

These are very quiet fans. I have four 120mm fans in my case and its hard to tell they're running.

Fit pre-cut opening just below the power supply, backside of hp-Compaq (no fan factory-installed there already). Tucked the temp sensor probe under display card's cooling fins so it only spins fast when GPU heats up..display card has no fan.

4ARTIC F9 PRO TC 92mmMar 28, 2011
By Kirk Ch "da_radioman"
After purchasing the ARTIC F9 PRO TC 92mm fan I was impressed with the fact the it came with a temperature sensor as no other fan of it's type that I know of came equipped with such a thing. This fan suit our purpose to be used in an enclosure used for microwave radio equipment. However the speed of the fan was a bit slow for me though the cooling of my equipment was adequate at best. I would however recommend this "beautiful" lil' thing for your general computing needs as it simply works!
